Est\u00e1 conformada por llanuras es\u00e9rticas en cuencas endorreicas, denominadas bolsones, localizadas a elevaciones entre los 1,000 y 1,200 m; en medio de estas llanuras sobresalen algunas elevaciones\r\nde cerros y peque\u00f1as serran\u00edas de origen volc\u00e1nico y sedimentario.
