Important flash floods occur in december-january, but the most significant one are observed in May or June. The impermeable substratum favorise rapid water, nutirents and contaminants during flood events. The groundwaters are limited, mainly located in the alluvial deposits and in some sand lends in the middle slope. The evapotranspiration is very high and the runoff coefficient is very low (15% on average).
