The karstic aquifer of Durzon represents a surface of 100 km\u00b2 which feeds the spring of Durzon. This spring supplies the drinking water of the Aveyron part of Larzac. Two thick series can be found on this causse: the series of the Hettangian (from a total power from 50 to 300 m) and the series from Dogger to Malm (with a total power up to 600 m). These two series are separated by a marl series (black and laminated marls) deposited at the Dom\u00e9rien and Toarcien. They play an important role in the hydrology of the Duzon by constituting respectively a waterproof barrier and base.\r\n","hydrology":"Located at an altitude of 533m, the source of the Durzon will deliver an average discharge of 1.5 m3\/s over the period 2008 to 2014. The min discharge may reach 0.7 m3\/s as in the summer 2011 and the max discharge may reach until 16 m3\/s.\r\nThe bassin area is estimated between 98 and 117 km2 depending on the authors and based on a mass bilan.\r\nOverflows of many of the surrounding epikarst aquifers during extreme events can lead to the formation of temporary lakes.","soils":"Soil depth is too heterogeneous in our karstic site to provide one parameters and we do not have a complete map.
