This site is managed by the State of North Dakota Land Trust and is moderately grazed throughout the year. NEON sampling at DCFS occurs across nonadjacent land parcels interspersed by private land with a total sampling area of 2.6 km2 (642 acres). DCFS is part of NEON\u0027s Northern Plains Domain (D09). D09 has two other terrestrial field sites and two aquatic field sites. The soil family is fine-loamy, mixed, superactive, frigid Typic Haplustolls.","vegetation":"The Northern Plains Domain is dominated by prairie grasslands, including a combination of short and mid-stature grasses, and croplands.
