Description
Lambach Stadl-Paura as a branch of the Organic Institute of the Agricultural Research and Education Centre Raumberg-Gumpenstein is a certified organic farm since 2005, located in Upper Austria in the political district Wels-Land on the Traun river. There is one sampling location in the north of the Traun river in Lambach and three areas south of the Traun river in the municipality of Stadl-Paura. The scientific focus lies on cultivation of food crops (e.g. beans, lentils or sweet potato) on two different soil types: deep brown earth soils and shallow Rendzina soils. Through a cooperation with AGES, which carries out continuous variety value testing of different grain varieties, the data is included in the Austrian variety list.
