Ziegelwald Subarea 1

Subarea 1 is divided into three areas. In the first section, coniferous species, Pinus nigra subsp. laricio Maire, Cedrus atlantica (Endl.) G.Manetti ex Carrière and Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirbel) Franco, were planted. In the middle section, deciduous tree species, Quercus petraea (Mattuschka) Liebl., Gleditsia triacanthos L., Quercus cerris L., Carpinus betulus L., Quercus pubescens Willd., were planted. The third section was left to natural succession to see which tree species and shrubs would naturally develop in this area.
