Le territoire d’intérêt pour ce réseau est l’ensemble de l’agglomération, territoire de Toulouse Métropole. Depuis 2016, Toulouse Métropole met en place un réseau de monitoring de l'îlot de chaleur urbain (ICU), composé à ce jour de 60 stations de mesure sur l'agglomération. Ce dispositif de monitoring climatique permet par l'intermédiaire de capteurs connectés de recueillir les données capitalisées par les stations météo en temps réel.Grâce à une technologie développée par la société toulousaine Sigfox, les données de températures, vent, humidité ou précipitation sont transmises directement aux serveurs de Toulouse Métropole, avant d'être mises à la disposition du public sur le portail Open data de la Métropole.
