Method Description
Nitric nitrogen is determined by means of the colorimetric method. The nitrate ions react with sodium salicylate with the formation of sodium nitrosalicylate having a yellow color, the absorption spectrum of which has a maximum absorbance at a wavelength of 420 nm.
