Method Description
Litter was collected at each intensive monitoring plot (700 = IP2 and 2900 = IP3) with 15 regularly distributed litterfall samplers each covering an area of 0.5 m2. Sampling was conducted monthly (± one week) during the snow free season (generally from May to October). Beech (MEDIUM = FAGU SYL) and spruce (MEDIUM = PICE ABI) correspond to the tree species nearby the litterfall samplers.
