Method Description
Nitrous nitrogen is determined by means of colorimetric method: in an acid medium by diazotization of sulphanilic acid with nitrous nitrogen occurs in the formation of para-diazobenzene-sulphonic acid; subsequently, the addition of N- (1 naphthyl) ethylenediamine bichlorohydrate leads to the formation of a red-violet compound whose absorption spectrum has the maximum absorbance at the wavelength of 543 nm.
