The DRAIN Station was established in 2011 in a mature beech stand at the Rosalia Lehrforst. It holds a long-term soil drying-wetting manipulation experiment. The station is monitored for soil-atmosphere GHG exchange rates, soil micrometeorology, soil nutrient contents, sap flow and tree growth
