Method Description
Two record types are provided:
1) Reconstructed (1944-1969): inundation estimates were based on Guadiana River flows which displayed strong seasonality (from Ojos del Guadiana spring) and Gigüela River flows.
2) Measured (1970-2016): inundation estimates were based on water level records measured in 20 sampling stations throughout the wetland. Using a DEM of the wetland, these data were converted to flooding area.
