Moth monitoring in LBS

Basic Information
Abstract
Moths are observed by using light traps of the “Jalas” model that are equipped with 160W mixed light or 125W Mercury (Hg) vapour bulbs (Jalas, 1960; Söderman, 1994). Traps are run every night from the early spring to the late autumn, typically between April and October. Traps are usually emptied weekly and the moth specimens are identified
