Soft-bottom macrozoobenthos from the coastal Bulgarian Black Sea (2013-2014)

At each station, three replicate macrozoobenthic samples were collected using a Van Veen grab with sampling surface 0.05 m2. Samples were sieved on a 0.5 mm-mesh sieve and fixed in a 10% formaldehyde-seawater solution. The organisms were hand-sorted in the laboratory under a stereomicroscope, identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level and counted. Biomass (as wet weight) was measured on an analytical scale to the nearest 0.0001 g; molluscs were weighed with their shells, and tubicolous polychaetes were removed from their tubes before weighing.
